Durgaprasad (DP) is the Co-founder, Director and Group CEO of Bahwan CyberTek (BCT) Group. He oversees the strategic directions, operations and business development of the company while spearheading the development of IP products, pioneering large global digital transformation engagements and envisioning the accelerated growth for the company.

DP, characterized as an Executive Entrepreneur and a people’s person with a passion to create new markets, has been instrumental in Bahwan CyberTek Group’s distinguished position in the global IT arena. With a blend of strategic long-term vision and an eye on operational short-term goals, he has created nine subsidiaries and three Joint Ventures – JV with DHL (Bahwan-DHL), Oman Government (Infoline), TelBru (Comquest) - with multiple business initiatives across USA, ME, India and Far East – that have delivered more than a billion and a quarter USD in revenues over the last 10+ years of being in business. His thought leadership initiative between Bahwan CyberTek and the global major DHL, to form a 4th Party Logistics (4PL) organization for Petroleum Development Oman (Shell Subsidiary) is the first of its kind in the Middle East region.

DP’s vision of creating a world-class IP-driven organization led to BCT creating award-winning products that have been built to accelerate the digital transformation journeys of organizations in the areas of Predictive Analytics, Digital Experience and Digital Journey Management. DP has steered BCT to deliver transformational solutions across industry domains in twenty countries across North America, Middle East, Far East, Africa and Asia.

His visionary leadership has put BCT on the map in the areas of Big Data & Analytics, Mobility, Cloud and UXM delivering solutions to the Oil & Gas, Telecom, Power, Government, Banking, Retail and SCM / Logistics verticals.

His keen interest in ensuring international quality standards steers Bahwan CyberTek to pursue the highest quality certifications and was one among the elite early adaptors among a group of the first 50 IT companies in the world to be assessed at CMMi Level 5, Version 1.3.

Under his leadership, the BCT Group has received a number of Awards and Recognitions from leading organizations has won several awards and received recognition from leading industry organizations and technology forums such as Business Excellence Award from Oracle, Red Herring’s top 100 Technology Companies in APAC, Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Ranking & Fast 50 companies in India for 4 and 3 years in a row respectively, NASSCOM innovation award and the IMC IT award for best enterprise-class product, to name a few. In Nov 2017, BCT was featured as a Stanford case study titled “The evolution of Bahwan CyberTek and its journey beyond 2017”. This makes BCT one of the few organizations around the world that have had the honour of becoming a Stanford Case Study.

This makes BCT one of the few organizations around the world that have had the honour of being featured in a Stanford Case Study and the first company from Oman to get this privilege.

Another feather in the Group cap’s is that its AI-driven predictive analytics platform, retina360, was featured as a case study in a course by the Kellogg School of Management Executive Education titled "Artificial Intelligence: Strategies for Leading Business Transformation“. This is a prestigious recognition of the technological superiority of the Group.

DP was ranked among the top 30 business leaders in Oman and among the top 100 most influential CEO’s of Oman for several years in running. Recently, he was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award in Technology 2020 by the Oman Economic Review. In September 2018, the Oman Economic Review recognized DP as “One of the Most Powerful CEOs” in Oman. An Engineer from College of Engineering (Anna University), Chennai. He was also conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award by Anna University in 2017. DP did his management development program at Kellogg and XLRI.
